Hello, world (and welcome to the new site)
A short note on why this site exists and what to expect from it.
If you’re reading this, the site is up. That alone is news.
I built this for two reasons. The first: I wanted a place to keep the things I make — code, posts, photos — that doesn’t depend on whichever social platform happens to be in fashion this year. The second: I’d been telling myself for years that “I’ll set up a portfolio someday,” and the longer that went on, the more it felt like the someday was the actual problem.
So here it is. The plan, roughly:
- Projects auto-pull from GitHub. Pinned repos get featured treatment.
- Blog lives here as plain Markdown. No CMS, no database, no comments to moderate. Push to git, the site rebuilds.
- Resume is both web-rendered and downloadable as PDF. Recruiters get what they want; search engines get the indexable version.
- Hobbies is mostly photography for now. Other things — art, music — may show up if I have anything worth showing.
Posts will probably skew toward what I’m thinking about at work (test automation, CI/CD, healthcare-systems-shaped problems) and what I’m tinkering with at home (whatever it is that month). Sometimes both. Sometimes neither.
Thanks for stopping by.
